The Superintendent of Schools is responsible for the daily operations of the school division.  Dr. Eberhardt began in Madison County on July 1, 2010 enjoying professional life in the schools and personal life in the community.

Dr. Eberhardt’s goals this year are to:

  1. Maintain excellent communication.
  2. Work collaboratively to enhance an already strong curricular program.
  3. Support the Leadership Team who provides expertise, guidance, and direction.
  4. Create healthy activities and programs, where feasible.
  5. Enhance professional evaluation and staff development.
  6. Celebrate excellence.

Dr. Eberhardt has the pleasure of working as a member of the Leadership Team that includes building-level administrators and School Board Office staff.

Who inspired Dr. Eberhardt  as a child? Theodore Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss who wrote and illustrated 44 children’s books including all-time favorites such as The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Horton Hears a Who, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Superintendent Eberhardt’s advice to students, ala Seuss and Oh, The Places You’ll Go!:                                                                                                          

Step with care and great tact and remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.
